Our mission is to enhance the development of Legion baseball players in the Oconomowoc Area School District.

Oconomowoc Legion baseball continues to be one of the most active Posts for baseball in the country. Hosting teams since the 1940s and 4 teams since 2021. Our teams participate yearly in over 100 games, 12 tournaments, and the Wisconsin Legion Tournament. Each team plays about 23 games in a 5-to-6-week season starting in June with completion of the OHS season and ending in July with the Wisconsin Legion Regional and State Tournament. 

Based on demand, Post 91 will have 3 to 4 teams participating at Wisconsin Legion Age groups:
Senior Legion 19U – roster determined during the high school season (no tryout)
Junior Legion 17U – roster determined during the high school season (no tryout)
Junior Legion 16U – tryouts for team commitment to winter workouts and Summer Season

Winter Workouts are held at the Five O’s practice facility starting in January and will focus not only on advanced baseball, but athletic speed and agility. There will be open gym times weekly as well as coached workouts on Sundays with the Legion Coaching staff.

What am I committing to as a player?
Players are committing to a Team for the season. That is a commitment to winter workouts, weekly games, and weekend tournaments. Oconomowoc Legion expects each player to be available all season. Playing time will be a reflection of ability, effort, commitment, and performance. 

How many games did the teams get the past season?
Each team had about 23 games through 5 – 6 weeks of season for league and tournament play. 

Are tryouts for Legion mandatory?
Yes, tryouts are mandatory for the incoming Freshmen U16 age group. We will start working with these teams in winter to prepare them for their upcoming tryouts and OHS baseball seasons. If there is a conflict, the player needs to communicate with the Coaching Staff. 

Can anyone participate in Winter Workouts?
Winter workouts are focused and open to Oconomowoc Legion Baseball players. 

What are the Legion Baseball Fees?
These are subject to change: For the past Seasons Winter Workouts were $250, and Legion Season Fees were $350. That is approximately $6 per hour of Winter workout, and $15 per game for the summer season. This includes uniform, team equipment as needed, umpire fees, …our goal is to continue to make Oconomowoc Legion Baseball affordable for everyone.
